About Us

Welcome to The Sausage Boss! You may have seen a guy on social media snapping open sausages like it was his job. Well, that's me and it is my job!  My name is Joe; I started making sausage 4 years ago for fun in the back of my family's butcher shop where I've worked for many years. What was once a fun hobby, now is a nationwide sausage company, thanks to all of you. We have shipped to all 48 contiguous states and are pretty proud of it. 

Family History

The Lapp name has been known for over 40 years in Salem County, thanks to my grandparents. But even before they opened up their market in South Jersey, my grandfather was processing meat with his father by the age of 10. Our family legacy runs deep into the meat processing and butchering business. I've learned that history over the years, by picking up a boning knife and getting to work. My father, uncle and aunts still carry out this legacy today at their market in Penns Grove, NJ. 

Mission Statement

Here at The Sausage Boss, we pride ourselves in great quality products and customer service. 

Each customer and follower has the chance to talk with me whenever they please. I still answer emails myself as well as DMs on socials. Having this connection with you guys has helped me learn and grow through-out the years.
